With National Portrait Awards studios now open across the country, we are thrilled to finally be able to re-launch the awards now that lockdown has started to ease for many areas of the UK. Over the past few months, the global pandemic has had a huge effect on this year’s awards with many of our studios having to close and now impose many restrictions for the safety of their clients and their staff!
With studios closed over the past few months and being unable to book National Portrait Awards complimentary sessions, this year’s fundraising has taken a huge hit compared to previous years.
However, the team behind The National Portrait Awards have been working hard with the all the amazing photographers to relaunch the 2020 awards to increase the number of entries and donations that help fund our amazing charity partners, The Lullaby Trust, CHAS – Children’s Hospices Across America, CRY – Cardiac Risk In The Young, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, Blue Cross for Pets and DogsTrust.
Our amazing charities have also felt the pinch with many charity fundraising and events being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Portrait Awards will be doing everything they can to help increase the donations and publicize the amazing work these charities do. With over three months to go until the 2020 awards close for entries, we still have plenty of time to book hundreds of sessions and raise £1000’s for these wonderful charities.
We’re thrilled to be launching the new National Portrait Awards website as well as new Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest social media accounts for NPA fans to follow and keep up to date with everything National Portrait Awards.
